So, a professional female hockey player friend of mine, from Australia, told me that the best post-workout food for athletes and non-bodybuilders is NOT whey protein (which many studies are showing can actually cause or at least increase the likelihood of developing osteoporosis!), but skim milk, almonds and raisins. Simple, and even fairly cheap. So…when you’re done with your workout, pop a handful of raisins in, swig down some skim, and indulge with a few heart-healthy almonds. Thanks for the tip, Jess!
