Banana Almond Oatmeal Smoothie (finally--a picture by me!)

Banana Almond Oatmeal Smoothie:

I adapted this from a different recipe, took one sip and said, “Wow–so good!”  So, thought I’d share.

Ingredients:
1 banana
1/2 cup light, plain soy milk
1/2 cooked oatmeal (cook 1/2 cup dry oatmeal with 1/2 cup water in microwave for about 1 and 1/2 minutes)
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Pour soy milk into blender, followed by other ingredients.  Blend for about 30 seconds, or until mixture is proper consistency.  Enjoy!

Variations:

If you don’t like thick smoothies, add an additional 1/8 to 1/4 cup soy milk.

OR Add 1 tsp flax-seed.

OR Add 1 Tbsp. wheat germ (with additional splash of soy milk)
